Emma Mistele is a composer and performer. She is interested in the visual, theatrical properties of live music performance. Currently, she is studying and creating notation for improvisers.

Emma is completing her MA in music at Wesleyan University (2025), where she studies composition and improvisation with Ron Kuivila, Paula Matthusen, Jay Hoggard, and Darius Jones. She studied composition with Natacha Diels at the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed her BA (2023).
